High and medium net worth persons can apply for permanent residency of Canada under one of the many diverse Provincial Entrepreneur programs. Designed by individual provinces, these programs are crafted and implemented by the province themselves.
The application process requires that the high net worth persons meet the provincial program requirements. The province then nominates selected applicants who then make an application for permanent residence to Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
The provinces of Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Prince Edward, Yukon, Nova Scotia and many more have their provincial nominee program for an entrepreneur. Many provinces plan and implement their unique immigration programs on their own. Selection criteria for a businessperson or entrepreneur can be the active management of a new or existing business, specified investment amount or a specific number of jobs created.
